The challenge

The Ford Urban Hill Climb features the leg-sapping climb made famous during the 2023 UCI Cycling World Championships and has become a bucket-list climb for cyclists around the world – so don’t miss your chance conquer it on car-free roads with us!

And kids, or anyone looking for a less competitive experience, can take their time at the Wee Urban Hill Climb – a 100m ride for cyclists of any age or ability who want experience the thrill of riding up Montrose Street on a traffic-free road.

Scottish Cycling’s Rock Up & Ride team will time each rider’s efforts from the bottom to the top of the climb and there will be various bike, age and ability categories on the day, so let us know you're interested or head along to the junction of George Street and Montrose Street to take part and we’ll see you on Sunday 9 June!
